Barn Burned

Hardwood Skeleton

By Kris KneislerPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

conflagration swift

eyes slow, flame enfolded whole

enveloped all trees

All stone stood stoic

merely shook sandy pebbles

hardwood skeleton

the hose water waste

cooled down the damage

wet trash left inside

A breeze blows slow, calm

Through the beams musically, loft

curious shell left, old barn

art
