Bad News

At Noon

By Hunter BlakelyPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Distasteful disasters arriving by letter in bed

Left the fox in a right sour mood.

Today was to be a day of laxing and lounging

Now, cunning scheming

Won’t leave the head.

So please give us bad news at noon,

Leaving half the day to do as we do,

And half the day to work it through.

Misfortunate events revealed before a nights rest

Left the snake not right - rather upset.

Slithering, whispering, muttering foul words ‘til sun comes again

Keeps the snake awake with no time for sleep.

So please give us bad news at noon,

Leaving half the day to do as we do.
