That awkward moment

When your good news lives like trash

A bad text unspent

I agree with Kendall, this is a bit of a puzzle. Having read through the rest of the comments I understand this to be about good news you can't share because they'll make it about something else. Personally, I prefer your choice of "unspent" over "unsent". It carries the same meaning with that little extra attached. The text itself, sending or not sending it, all of it costs you something.

  • That second line is just so heartbreaking. I'm so sorry Merly. Sending you lots of love and hugs! ❤️

I kind of feel like you haven't sent the text because you've not yet exhausted the possibilities of what exactly to say. And I prob just made it may more complicated than it is. I love that you're making me think. Nicely done.

I feel the moment. And I have the same question...

Ouch...I'd second Andrew's question - about whether it's meant to be unspent or unsent. I think I get the gist of the poem though.

  • "A bad text unspent"? Was that meant to be "unsent"? Just wondering.

  • I like it🤍❤️♥️♥️
