Aware

Time heals, remain vigilant

Aware

That the distance of time and land conceals a web

Black creature crouches on dew dropped threads

I must never forget

And see now through a child's eyes

The hope rekindled,

As new seeds are sown

He'll know the world in a way I don't

Still, a flightless bird will always sing

Remembers two fine things;

From snow that kept falling and falling

A polar bear

Standing with that solid bear stare

Tasting the air

And a paint palette held in my hand

So well planned

Coloured tiles expand, expand The many shades and hues

Its emerald entirely used

Up

sad poetry

About the Creator

Elsa Michaela | @surfthought

When you hear a song

One that stops you in your tracks

That seems spoken from your own mind

Do you listen and listen again?

Follow its streams until a tide,

Inside you

Rushes to fill in the small hollow parts

…Yeah, me too
