Squirrels, with boundless energy,
Leap and scamper through autumn's leaves.
Gathering nature's bountiful offerings,
They prepare for winter's sleep.
In cozy nests, they find repose,
Dreaming of Spring's embrace.
A joyful reminder of Life's abundance,
In every season, in every space.

Constantly moving
Fluffy little critters
With extremely strong jaws
Used for cracking walnuts found
Long tails waving here or there
Little noses all a-twitter sniffing the air
Quickly scurrying up the trees to their nests
To play hide and seek with all the rest
Chittering and chattering, raiding the bird feeders looking for seeds
