where I can be me

I put on a tie today

Nonconforming

Nonbinary

Nonentity

Nobody

Sinking into

Comfy Cushions

Printed Paintings

Burnt Brew

And you

You are my characters, myself

Haunting

Every movement in my

Words, words, words

against this noise, noise, noise

clinking ice, milk and espresso

I am ready to start another chapter

Another scene

Another life

in Another Universe

One where I get to be me

I live in them:

The Coffee Shop Caricatures

of the truths I've never expressed

Likening love to inaction

Unconditional

I'll take a grande in a venti cup

Two napkins

To clean the spill

while I spill my guts

in Google Docs

For nobody to see

Just me

sad poetry
