Another poem

I am not really a writer.

And not really a poet.

I just string pretty words together

And make countless unfinished worlds.

I create characters in fanfictions

To escape this reality.

And tell myself one day I’ll make it

With all my words and rhymes.

But days like these I grow tired.

Can’t stand the rejection

And notion that it’s nothing special.

Just words thrown up on the page

A scramble of thoughts

Strung together

To be artsy and edge.

Scream of my difference.

But I can’t even finish a short story.

Nor a ground breaking novel.

And all my poems…..

are just hopeless love letters to myself

I like to write in free verse mostly, but am heavily inspired by Emily Dickenson, and tend to create my own rules and ideas as well.

If you write, you’re a writer, and this is very good! 😊
