A fleeting moment in the history of the world.
Celebrities claiming they have IT, but their faces are not their faces. Filled with collagens and plastics a collage of envy and jealously chasing the perfect form.
Music claims to be it, but the beats are not new or fresh as old mixes with the new to create a melodic lace patchwork of different genres to appeal to the masses.
Art claims to be different but using influences from the great classics or contemporaries.
Hollywood and authors recycle and remake or takes the work from others and twists it to fit their own needs and wants for their own fantasy world.
Love struggles to find its authenticity in the world. Using rom-coms and dramas for what love is supposed to be, love becomes choked in the clouds of high expectations and disappointment.
The break from the lies and disappointments arrive in the form of a sign of true happiness. The moments of pure bliss where a smile is not forced or put on for show to hide the pain and sadness.
The smile that tells the lover, we're going to make it. Despite the odds.
The smile from a parent and child finding a love in new classic movie and interpretations of literature. A novel to screen and imagination starts to grow and a new fantasy comes to life.
The smile from people who have seen the Mona Lisa's smile, or the smile of a child that has just seen a Jackson Pollock up close and lights the fire of passion.
The smile from a struggling street performer when someone compliments their original work or leaves a tip. The child who passes by and wants to learn how to play.
The celebrities who embrace who they are and what happens to our bodies as we age and begin to advocate for other's to be more forgiving.
The world is more focused on the new, popular and often times fake. We call each other out on being fake, catfished, and bury the good under the bad.
Go out into the world and find the rarities of life. Those smiles of passion, joy, love, happiness. For those are what are authentic and most rare in this world.

There are scenes that play out in my head that need an outlet. Is practical for real life, probably not, but to free space I have to put the virtual pen to paper.
