Aurora
This poem for Vocal's tautogram challenge was inspired by the recent, powerful geomagnetic storms that made the beautiful aurora borealis phenomenon visible unusually far south.

Above an ashy airspace,
Atmosphere alights.
Aviators ascend, apace,
Awestruck and agape
As Aurora arrives.
.
Arizonans are astir,
All's auric and ablaze
Aurora absconded azure,
Appointed amaranth's allure,
And all agaze, amazed.
.
Are Aurora's anomalies
Announcing: "All's awry?"
Apollo's ardent alchemy
As avarice apogees
And armies amplify?
.
Alas, Aurora's awakened
As Antarctica abrades—
An alluring aberration,
An artful animation
—avalanche, anyways.
