At the yawn of dawn

Poem, of course. No Content Warning required, other than it has content. Also, look a cat.

At

the

yawn of dawn

With

a

shake and shiver

Tap

a

beat with feet

Clear

the

dust and rust

With

a

stretch and retch

Start

the

roast and toast

Ignore

the

news and blues

Go

get

out and about.

Thanks for reading!

Author's Notes: I'm older than I was than when I felt young and didn't properly take advantage of it. That's all we're saying about this. Also, yes the cat is there deliberately to encourage people to click.

Let me know your thoughts, call me an old codger, tell me to do more exercise, comment, engage, whatever - you all know I love it and appreciate it.

Here are a few more I'm trying to encourage people to read, as always:

Oh, to be a cat - nothing to do but wonder around! Lovely work Paul!

  • You're doing better than I am, lol.

This is great!! I read it from the perspective of a cat😂

    Love it ❤️

  • Thank you!! I love cats and I itch when around them for even 15 minutes! My daughter insists my cat of 20 years put a hex on me because I took her to the vet one last time.😉

  • No content warning required, other than it has content!!! That was soooo hilarious!!!! I burst out laughing when I read that!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sir Paul Shakespeare, I'm so sorry to say this but I love your subtitle more than your poem and author's notes! You are one weird funny man! 🍩🥐

  • lol loved it, and your note at the end! Age is not the reason for feeling heavy… living in the wrong ways is…. What we call “normal aging” is not normal … it’s decay caused by unhealed trauma…. the path out may be hard…. But living with that feeling is even harder 💁‍♀️🤍
