a poem

just like everyone loves you

just like everyone hates me

you do everything and I do nothing

although that’s just one side of the flipped coin

because my brain needs to be kept busy to feel good

so, I make up stories to silence the loud times

you never read them and you don’t even care

that someone misses you like hell

that every time I cry in my bed

I wish you would hug me and say:

“I’m here now, no more”

instead, you leave the room too early to notice

my disappointment that you never share

even the smallest part of my life story

only here, in black letters on white paper

you can be as close to me as possible

without affecting our energies

without making our lives better

as ordinary people would do

maybe you have someone in your heart

maybe I shouldn’t try so hard

but what would life be like

without it all

when that thin red thread everlastingly

reminds me of you in me
