At the clear fountain

(Inspired by a French nursery rhyme)

At the clear fountain when you go for a walk.

You sit against an oak and on the dew.

The wind blows through your hair and turns the pages.

Of a book you love so much and so much more.

On the banks of a river, you have dropped

A bouquet of fresh roses that have just been cut.

Are you taking "notes" or are you writing a story?

He didn't take care of it, but he keeps it in his memory.

On your dirt road, you need to put on the right shoes.

Because the road is long and may well be paved.

You have a light in your heart that keeps you going.

Don't turn it off, or you'll get burned.

When you sing with the Nightingale

May your sorrows and joys in this mad race

Sow the love of a tiny seed

I hope you will see it at the clear fountain.
