At the beginning...
Vocal 'Silence' Acrostic Challenge, No.1
Semesters begin with an ambulance at my head...
(I think that they will be busy next door)
Leaky faucet adds to the hum of appliances...
(Everyone knows it; no one says it)
Nights fly with my thoughts...
(Cicadas come for the mornings)
Everything else comes to the quiet.

I like the contrast you’ve created with your use of brackets, and “(Cicadas come for the mornings)” is a line I really liked. September feels like a fresh start and a new school year!
Oooo, this was an excellent take on the challenge. Loved it!
Fabulous work
Wonderfully done
Wonderful entry. Well done, Kendall.
Nicely done!
