Assist to Autocracy
Destruction in the name of 'Aid'
The land was pale,
full of scars,
The dreams were broken
like a shattered glass,
‘Peace’ was promised
but was gifted treachery,
A revolution was declared
but a submission was enforced,
‘Modernism’ was the anthem
but suppression was their law,
Independence was declared
yet the souls were confined
Democracy was established,
But the corruption prevailed,
As the ‘Resistance’ was opposed,
The autocracy they practiced became exposed.
