As My Solitude Time Dwindles

I feel unfulfilled and angry

We live in a world

where loneliness is rampant —

and yet,

some of us crave solitude

so deeply.

Of course, they are different,

loneliness hurts.

it's a form of rejection,

we feel left out.

Solitude is a privilege —

the quality time with oneself,

free of distractions.

It’s the time to sit

and ponder,

to untangle the cobwebs of thought,

to declutter the mind,

to accept mistakes,

to sharpen judgment skill

to live ethically.

Parenting has stripped away

much of my solitude.

I fail to banish

all the brain noise.

I act like a wounded tiger,

I yell, 'Will you let me

have my solitude,

so I can return

a better version of myself —

to serve you better?'

Solitude is a necessity,

to restore our sanity.

Note: Do you feel so? Do you crave solitude?

Solitude is a great feeling and quite relaxing collecting one's thoughts and even when one works from home and getting work done, as one should take time just to breathe. Good job.
