Army Navy And The Roger That Starbucks Figure Skating Lady

As Submitted To The Roots And Branches Challenge

By Marc OBrienPublished about a month ago 1 min read

What branch are you from

Asked some

One

In the stands

Being fans

Go Army

They heard with glee

Go Navy

Said an oceanic lady

Sailing the SS Cruise

Midshipman were not going to lose

To the Black Knights

Performing duties defending American rights

Up and down, they went

The field their schools did rent

Message they wanted to send

For General Public to comprehend

Peace is always the answer

In defeating warring cancers

That bleed red

From those who are dead

Having nothing more to say

Since they

Paid the ultimate price

Due to leaders not being nice

Safely hail Mary bombs touched down

While others gained yards, on the ground

Playing a game

Competing the same

Minus destructive death

Monitored by a zebra ref

Weeks later

Flanked by an outdoor figure skater

Sipping Starbucks

Wanting emerald good luck

Medals and memories decorate a tree

Wanting guests to see

Then after a toast or two

Everyone will hug, not getting in a feud

December may seem frosty and cold

Instead, it is filled with new year hope, being bold

Unwrapping a perfect gift that should be bought and sold

Holiday
