Armadillos Are Roaming

Parody of Amarillo By Morning

By Andrew C McDonaldPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Armadillo’s are Roaming

To the tune of George Strait’s “Amarillo by Morning”

Armadillos are roaming,

All over my front yard

All the shot that I’ve got

Will tear ‘em up real hard

When those paws do fly

I’ll not be shy

I’ll be shootin’ ‘em left and right

Armadillos are digging

armadillos die right now

They dug up my roses out front

Tore up my garden out back

Caused me to lose the red ribbon

Cause petals my flowers did lack

Well I’ll be loading buck shot

When they make me hot,

And I’m hoping the cops don’t mind

Armadillos I’m killing,

Armadillos I will find

Armadillo’s were digging,

All over my front yard

But the shot that I’ve got

It tore ‘em up real hard

I got nothing but time

and will pay the fines

I’m retired and own some guns

Armadillos are bleeding

Armadillos aren’t so fine

Armadillos are dying

Armadillos won’t get mine
