The cosmos danced
The stars drawing nearer
And further away
From one another
Adjusting themselves
For perfect synchronicity
To bring them together
Leo, the king
His golden mane, his crown
Though he'd prefer not to wear it
Aries, the queen
A delicate circlet of a ram's horns
Resting heavily on her brow
Both the fire
Of only the brightest of stars
Both resolute and firm
Upon their paths
But the cosmos danced
Bringing them nearer
And then further away
And then nearer again
Paths converged
But neither looked back
The heavens teased
They tormented
Enjoying its little game
No queen for the lion
No king for the ram
Only fools and fishes
And slimy creatures
From the depths
Laughter as cold and unfeeling
As the universe itself
Left them solitary once more
It mocked to bring them so close
To the warmth of one other
Only to rip them back once more
To watch them stumble
Among the cold dust of galaxies
But finally
Finally
Salvation from some benign force
The stars aligned
Jupiter hid in shame
No match
For the sun's splendour
Mars burned brighter
And the drums of war
Ceased their pounding
And
Leo enveloped Aries
With his mane
A mantle of gold
To cloak her
He cast off his crown for her
And she broke jewels from her circlet
To place them in his eyes
So he might see
The beauty of the stars
As she did
She cast off her crown for him
And together
They ruled the cosmos
No crowns to show for it
Only they knew
They were royal

I like to write, if that makes me a writer, then rock on!
I started writing as a child because I ran out of stuff to read. So, I only write stuff that I like. If you like it too, awesome! Enjoy! ^_^
