Are You A Fan Or Are You A Big Goose? Who Isn't A Big Fan Of Dr. Suess?

I was a big fan as a child and I continue to be as an adult, I am not a goose and I am not loose?

I heard there was a Suess week in March of 2020. I forgot this year and I missed it. His day was March 2, 2022. In honor of this, I am posting a poem I wrote in 2017. And on March 2, 2020, I wore my Dr. Suess sweatshirt and my green pants. I still have that outfit, so maybe a picture will appear someday!

Here is the poem:

February 20, 2017

Seussian is a new word in Webster this year

And before you jeer

Let me make this clear

He couldn’t sell his books

Cause at first no one liked the looks

Theodor Seuss Geisel

What a wise fella, hell

He wrote

Forty-four or sixty books

What an accomplishment.

For something that was an experiment.

So today they have a name

For others that follow his game

Creating so much fun

with words that don’t just run

Rather bask in the sun.

Oh the places you will go

Makes a great graduation gift no?

Green eggs and ham, I’m Sam I am

A wedding gift for Mary and David Sam

Rhymes are often tough to make

We can’t all bake a cake.

From there to here and here to there

Funny things are everywhere.

Have fun today and every day.

Every day have fun and have fun today.
