What are the colours colouring

those which do bring us pride?

The red is on the busses

flashes of needed rides.

Some sea-teal on the backpacks

of boys, bike-riding off

A rabbit in white pops up,

Some pizza dropping off.

The same is doing orange

telling us to just eat

Just eat and sleep and try

to stay in safety.

The cream pink of the carpet

becomes a beach of shells

when, opening the window,

the sun comes in to dwell

between the light-grey lines

the window’s frame projects

just like it does with trees

in an olive forest.

And talking about olives

This is what green still does:

Some things do never change

When good food is a must.

Blessing medical staff

blue is well busy with:

a dash of hope in fear

that black is bringing in.

But black hopes, too, poor thing

That soon or later it

will be just the night’s colour

for lovers to dive in.
