The cursor mocks me

As the calendar reminds me.

I’m running out of time, out of ideas.

The deadline looms.

I want this,

But the words seem too quiet.

Too young.

Will they take me seriously?

What words will convince them?

That I have the skills

The knowledge

The ability

To learn

To be better

To change the world

With a few choice phrases

And determination.

I set my fingers to the keys.

And I write.

Applying to grad school is no easy thing, mentally or emotionally. You convey the stressors very well.
