apoplexy Of vehemence

Inspired by the truly stunning movie There Will Be Blood

there is a hatred boiling deep inside

I try to seep it out like oil bubbling in the ground

In eyes alike, I find a hatred similar in taste

Full of grimy, dirty, filthy lust

The green salty like sea-mist

I tear open each vessel as though it’s a part of my body

We are sewn together loosely

Adrenal rush, oil gush, gold rush

Tightening with each bleeding organ

I can’t let nobody else beat me

Hatred is my fever I succeed

My seething vehemence of humanity

Toxic blood that bleeds into you like an apoplexy

I swallow all of your blood like a tonic

A cure for my hate

Oil is creeping past my shadow like a murdered ghost

You must push me down

You must keep me down

I’m a dirty, greedy, angry dog

The only thing that grounds me is soil

Bloody, needy soil

I planted the seeds in every hateful growl,

Now I’m just bleeding as you’re dead in my heart

Bleeding so bad yet there’s not a speck of red

I couldn’t bring myself to get the greed out of my guts

My poison love for you too heavy, too brimming with fear & dingy days

So worn out from anger & torn apart inside like a dish rag that is ratty, strings loose

My apoplexy Of vehemence transferred into a lonely old creature

That dives into the old war-torn grief

Angry that it was ever born.

The bodily imagery is relentless in the best way, hatred here isn’t abstract, it’s physical, leaking staining everything.

Well-wrought! "....like a dish rag that is ratty, strings loose" You've always a great knack for metaphor! I'll have to add the film to my watchlist!
