Apex law of nature

Poem that runs in your mouth and into your heart

you strummed my discordant strings

You stirred in that foamy, loamy

Mixture, rocks that tumble in my subconscious.

***

I lick your tender face

I nibble and switch my fingers and my tongue, giving you a two second kiss on the lips to give you a breather,

Till the next rising mountain crackles under the tome of your new vibration,

I read you our new chapter,

Inside your wet house

That stills and craves my love,

You’re strumming my heart strings

As you cry out my name like a ringing bell,

Each letter sounded out like the most intense volcano stirring,

Wind up and down, north and south,

Our colored fires breaking down in

Our cool, lapping stream.

By the unspoken bias nature laid out

For all,

We climb to the top only to tumble back down,

A nervous loop of frigid time, to see how far we fall

The apex of our mortality

Is lost & found, mesmerizing, in your deep smoky eyes.
