Anybody Telling the Truth?
Or is truth nonexistent these days?

Anybody Telling the Truth?
Is anyone real,
In this loud world,
Where everything echoes,
And nothing stands?
People talk,
With hollow tones,
Words rehearsed,
Hearts removed.
Smiles shine,
But eyes don’t match,
Secrets drip,
Behind each grin.
Truth is rare,
Truth is brave,
Truth is costly,
And seldom heard.
Who stands firm,
When lies feel safe?
Who speaks clear,
When silence pays?
Is anyone real,
In this strange place?
Anybody honest,
Face to face?
I listen hard,
For one true voice,
But all I hear
Is noise and masks.

A poignant, piercing reflection on the costly silence of truth in a world of echoes.
Your truth, my truth, the truth … 😉It’s all there somewhere. A lot of it is in this poem.
