Anxiety

Your anxiety

By Shelly PeetPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Anxiety

I see you struggling

your words are shaking

all those thoughts you're juggling

and that smile you're faking

I feel your heart beating faster than before

pounding against your ribs

like they are closed door

I hear your voice shake and crack

as your tongue trips

and your lip smack

I see the tears well up in your eyes

you feel so broken

so worthless sometimes

I'm here and don't you forget

I'm not scared of your demons

they don't scare me a bit

You may feel like a burden

or even a fool

but to me you are more than

you're smart and cool

your anxiety is not who you are

I see past that I promise

it's just a small part

I know it hurts inside your mind

your thoughts twist and bend

and you feel so lost most of the time

but know I love you till the end

my soulmate

you are my friend

and this is our fate

so take the hand I have to lend
