Ants and Giants

Insignificant God

By Alyson Pelletier Published 4 years ago Updated 4 years ago 1 min read

I look up and I am an ant.

Every action I take,

every word I speak in

graciousness,

maliciousness,

or indifference

has no effect in the outcome

of our insignificant existence.

I look down and I am a giant.

Every action I take,

every word I speak in

graciousness,

maliciousness,

or indifference

is an act or word of a God.

I am as insignificant as an ant,

and omnipotent as a God.

And so it goes...

this feeling of helplessness,

waiting to be crushed by the

weight of the other Gods

who don't know they are ants.

And so it goes,

this feeling of rapture

lifting me up

little by little

by my fellow ants that don't know they are Gods.
