Answers in prayer
Jane Eyre
I’ll answer you plainly, because I care for you more than art (I’m a simple man after all, though I truly could never separate poetry from my mouth, that would be my soul that departs)
I miss you so much
That I fear I will never get to see you
The mad raven is madly jealous and wants me all for their own, and crudely stops me from grabbing your hand in prayer
So I only asked you the question
Of myself feeling being so far gone
Because I feel so trapped
As they hide their quick and very cruel insults inside their gold and veiled affections that feel like a facade
Whereas you feel like truth.
My dearest Jane,
I loved you and I still do,
And I dream of you and think of you as you teach others far away as you taught me,
So now I take your hand in mine, and say,
Let’s pray together and find an answer,
As our friendship cannot die, that’s my decree.
