Another World
A Poem
My mind opening and closing as it blinks awake
My eyes drawing in the cool morning air
Smells of another world fill my lungs
Excitement dripping through my veins
My feet tasting the earth
As I sink lower into the mud of life
Pulling myself free for all it’s worth
I live every day knowing
Knowing that I exist in another world
From all the rest
That from the day I was hurled down here
It was clear
My experience would be very different
Not resistant
Just different
Perhaps one day
More will listen
