Another Friday

Working alone

By Lynda SpargurPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Another Friday

Another day alone

It must be nice to sit

Inside your little home

I get up and dressed

Go out and catch a bus

I get to work

And sit at my desk

Alone again

It seems like such a

Waste of time

I wish that I was home

The days go slow and

It’s not that I

need help

But it’s nice

to have

Some company

Some days I find

It hard to stay

When at work

I am alone

Just to have

Another nearby

Gives comfort

Without a word

Sometimes I think

That I am

The only one

Actually working

At this place

While others are

Having fun

I give so much

And get so little

While others

Get all the praise

I try so hard

To not be bitter

But here it is

Another Friday

And I am

yet alone.
