I'm an not an angry person
But Anger and I are familial,
Raised together in the same home
Where we shared meals,
And boiled in the silence together.
I am not an angry person,
But anger and I never plan our visits,
They rush in unannounced,
Feverish and reactionary to the tides
Of conversation or happenstance.
I am not an angry person,
But Anger and I share a past,
Though we never dare speak on it
Opting rather to drift apart
As I learn what kind of person I am,
I am not an angry person,
But I know Anger well,
And they know me.
