As I sit upon the shore with my feet gracing the sand, I stare up into the sky my mind floating to a far and distant land.

I reminisce about the good times and learn from the bad, bring my mind back to the presence feeling grateful for all that I have.

It amazes me the struggles I had to face to finally be here, a vision now fading my path becoming clear.

As I sit and I ponder, through situations I can't change, I release all the fear that has kept me in chains.

How funny it seems knowing I kept my head low, for people who refused to see my luminescent glow.

Praying to the heavens my guides always reminding me their near, they said this time I'll rise free from any regretful tears.

I won't walk with shame an illusion of the mind,

This path will be filled with strength and a heart that's forever kind.

Your shadow will be lifted, and the sun will shine again, step into your brand-new beginning and don't worry what's at the end.

Hold your faith close as you embrace what is the unknown, and in the times you trip remember that your never alone.

Now stand up my child and hold your head high, because the wings we bestowed you are beautiful and now it's time to fly.
