Angel Baby

The miscarriage of my first true love.

By Savannaha Klein Published 3 years ago 2 min read

Angel baby

Sad girl, no one knows why you cry,

Sad girl, why can’t you say it out loud?

Sad girl, just give it a try,

Sad girl, is it because no one would be proud?

Sad girl, they see how your head hangs with shame,

Sad girl, now your best friends the bottle.

Sad girl, the mirror shows who’s to blame,

Sad girl, let’s be honest, you’re not a role model.

Sad girl, the doctors told you it wasn’t possible,

Sad girl, they told you to blame the cancer.

Sad girl, you always thought it was an obstacle,

Sad girl, guess what? It wasn’t an answer.

Sad girl, do you remember the joy?

Sad girl, all from white sticks.

Sad girl, is it a girl or boy?

Sad girl, no more liquor trips.

Sad girl, only six weeks,

Sad girl, your new reason to live.

Sad girl, you couldn’t wait to see those baby cheeks,

Sad girl, just when you thought you had no more to give.

Sad girl, your grandmas first grandchild,

Sad girl, too bad it’s a little too late.

Sad girl, she would have gone wild,

Sad girl, July 4th never forget the date.

Sad girl, a hurried appointment,

Sad girl, a possible complication.

Sad girl, we know you can’t handle another disappointment,

Sad girl, this baby finally gave you motivation.

Sad girl, it’ll be okay,

Sad girl, that’s what the doctors say.

Sad girl, maybe it time to pray,

Sad girl, today is the day.

Sad girl, just close your eyes,

Sad girl, there’s too much blood.

Sad girl, just close your eyes,

Sad girl, there’s too much blood.

Sad girl, now there’s pain,

Sad girl, your baby will never be due.

Sad girl, I guess you can’t complain,

Sad girl, since it’s because of you.

Sad girl, better call your best friend,

Sad girl, the doctors said it’s not anything you did.

Sad girl, at least the bottles there to the bitter end,

Sad girl, still doesn’t save your kid.

Sad girl, it’s time to life your head,

Sad girl, tell them why you cry.

Sad girl, please before you’re dead,

Sad girl, just give it a try.
