Loss of a soulmate through addiction.

Persian Beauty

Sad girl, long blonde hair

Sad girl, big green eyes

Sad girl, skin so fair

Sad girl, such beautiful lies

Sad girl, it’s not your usual type

Sad girl, what will your family say?

Sad girl, some think you’re doing it out of spite

Sad girl, there will be hell to pay

Sad girl, she acts so innocent

Sad girl, she trusts no one

Sad girl, she’s going to leave you spent

Sad girl, should have known by where she’s from

Sad girl, why’d you pick a girl so mean?

Sad girl, she will never change

Sad girl, stop waiting for her to get clean

Sad girl, she’s stuck in a cage

Sad girl, you were all in

Sad girl, now you’re haunted by the ghost of her

Sad girl, because she was only into heroin

Sad girl, everything with her has always been a blur

Sad girl, others called it trauma bonding

Sad girl, but you called it soul mate

Sad girl, now you’re left with longing

Sad girl, guess it wasn’t fate

Sad girl, stop all the promising

Sad girl, craving all her dips

Sad girl, how is she the only one you’re missing?

Sad girl, still wanting to grip her hips

Sad girl, now she’s left you in the looney bin

Sad girl, you can’t trust a word she says

Sad girl, now how about some more gin?

Sad girl, ignore how much she begs

Sad girl, stop acting so tough

Sad girl, stuck in these padded walls

Sad girl, now bend over and cough

Sad girl, time to ignore her calls

Sad girl, forget how she flirts

Sad girl, she was supposed to carry your baby

Sad girl, now you’re sleeping in her sweatshirts

Sad girl, she’s in your head daily

Sad girl, now how many others is she sleeping with?

Sad girl, does she hold their bodies closer?

Sad girl, I guess true love is just a myth

Sad girl, time to get some closure

Sad girl, now you only hold her in a picture frame

Sad girl, would have followed her wherever

Sad girl, you’re not the one to blame

Sad girl, don’t want to say goodbye because this ones forever

About the Creator

Savannaha Klein

Sadness never hides in the depths of your eyes. The Sad Girl series follows a true broken path of alcoholism, miscarriage, mental health, shattered relationships, and more. My work contains the brutal honesty that comes with all of it.
