I told them I didn’t like it
I looked them in the eyes and willed them to stop
And they sat back on their haunches, at my level but just that little bit taller
And I felt my pupils narrow as the balloon rose through their stomach and was vomited into my lap.
I don’t like it
I don’t like it
Make it stop
Make it stop
Make it stop
I said it, screamed it
Because it went from bad to worse
While they all watched
I said it isn’t nice
But they didn’t mind
I cried and cried and cried and cried
And then the water solidified
And started to choke me
It was two rubber gloves suddenly
Filled to the brim with helium
And when it exploded
Because I had used my nails
I breathed it in
And they laughed
It’s not funny, I said
And they laughed
HA HA HA
And they laughed
While I slashed at the pillows
And ripped my smile to shreds
They just laughed
And laughed
HA
HA
HA.
