... and the first shall be last

He feared the weak

By Margaret BrennanPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

… and The Frist Shall Be Last

Satan stood at the gates of hell

And invited all who came;

He accepted all the bodies – strong;

But turned away the lame.

*

“To be a part of great amry”,

He, then said with a grin,

“You must be made of muscle,

Not maimed or much too thin.”

*

His wild frenzy of ambition

Was the cause of his descent.

He was looking for the vilest souls

Who never would lament.

*

He hated all the faint of heart,

In fear they might rebel

And beg God to forgive them

And bring them back from hell.

*

He saw it happen many tmes:

The Mercy of our Lord.

God won so many battles

Without raising any sword.

*

God is always there and waiting

To make Heaven our reward.

He just want to hear our loving words:

“Forgive me, my dear Lord.”
