LOVE ISN’T
Love isn’t
Just love.
You want me
to love you.
How can I?
I don’t know you.
Not much.
We just met.
You don’t know me.
I’m not easy.
I am work.
Life is work.
Life can be fun;
Yet, it is also work.
Go easy, dear.
Wait.
Wait for me.
Go slow.
In time,
We will know.
Be here for me,
And I for you.
Take my hand.
Hold on.
Hold on for the ride.
Life is a ride.
We will go up
And we go down.
Yet, the ride
Is fun.
The ride is love.
The ride can lead to Love.
Time is ours.
Love isn’t love;
It’s work.
But in time,
We can Love.
Wait.
Wait for me.
Love will come.

I loved this Margaret! It was such a great realistic expectation about what real love is! It's relatable and so authentic, it reminds us that love it's just about being in love. It's about the hard times and how we work together to get through them! Beautiful poem, Margaret! 😊
