And Like A Bird I Am I Rise Again.

And I'll Never Give Up

I sunk to the bottom of the ocean,

I stayed in the dark, gloomy depths

for many months.

The ocean became deeper,

My world became darker.

Finally, I saw a shimmer of light

Glaring from the surface of the ocean.

At first, I decided to abstain,

I put up a big fight;

Removed all the blocks from the

path of my flight.

The fire in me was burning bright,

And I was yearning to see the sunlight;

As my confidence alighted,

I spread my colorful wings,

Ready to face my plight.

I burst out of the ocean,

Setting my wings in motion;

And like the bird I am,

I rise again.
