An Unheard Battle

Silent Cries

She stared through the window pane

As another leaf fell

Wishing all her pain

Would fall away, as well

She wished she could turn back time

That she had an eraser

Big enough to undo a lifetime

Of all that tried to erase her

Because she could not seem

To keep from ripping apart

At each and every seam

Until she was only a part

Of who she had become

Missing who she used to be

Before she came undone

Within his gravity

The hands on the clock fused to one another

Rendering her motionless

Thinking of the ways he made her suffer

While he remained emotionless

She stared as the leaves fell from the tree

Understanding its defeat

As she desperately tried to keep her debris

From littering the street
