An Overcast Sky
A Haiku for the Vocal Skyku Challenge
I had to sleep with the lights on when I was younger, owing to my fear of the obvious. My nyctophobia has faded but was overwhelming then.
For some of us, it can linger.
👻🕯️🎃🦇💀🕸️🖤⚰️👀🌕👁️🗨️👻🕯️🎃🦇💀🕸️🖤⚰️👀🌕👁️🗨️👻🕯️🎃🦇💀
Fear nestles high,
In the dark sky overcast —
night devours day.

I think some innate fear of the dark lingers on in all of us - that sense of night devouring day
I can only imagine how difficult that would have been. So glad it has now faded
