Meet me at the cross—
Where hope
breaks the back of knees
Humbling man
in the holy presence of God
For even gravity
Knows Him as anchor
You’ll be lowly—
Seeing how man’s best intentions
can’t flicker beside
the holiness of God
This is Adam’s shame:
That man once bore
the fullness of Gods image
And still
chose otherwise
But God
He saw beyond eyelash
to you,
to me.
He saw the promise of Jesus
And He meets us at the cross,
arms stretched wide,
showing us
what love truly is.
And it is Him.
Everything
our first parents needed
to want more than anything
on that day.
So meet me at the cross—
or better yet,
come with me.
For God is far greater
than rubies or diamonds,
which adorn the body
but never transcend the earth.
He is—
and was—
and is yet to come.
Be faithful.
Be grateful.
Be loved.
For these are the treasures
we will carry
to God above.
And He will be blessed by them,
and we
will be blessed by Him—
Forever.

And that’s all folks! Well that and those pieces of mine :)
