An Idea: A Muse

The Comfort of Thought

By Matt LeBrunPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Ideas are a vibration, a rhythm, a music. And I wish to dance with them.

To tango for minutes, to sway for hours, to flee from one closing bar to the next, desperate for just one more moment together.

To salsa with a stranger, with a passion so intense it rivals the heat of the sun.

To two step comfortably, joyously, and peacefully with the one one loves.

We dance, we laugh, we cry, alas the Muses take no sides. They visit and we welcome, they leave and we long for their return.

They're neither good nor bad, they come to the masquerade ball simply to dance, willing to wear whichever mask we provide.

"And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who who couldn't hear the music." --Friedrich Nietzsche
