An endless battle

The enemy of your enemy is your friend

An endless battle

I carefully slashed my way through the thick, green leaves decorating the lush and exotic rainforest,

the dirty, murky mud kept making a rhythmic sound in response to my heavily protected feet,

A loud rustling sound stopped me in my tracks,

I felt like a vulnerable deer caught in the headlights,

I glanced around suspiciously waiting for an inevitable attack,

And it did come, though not how I expected it to be,

And I realized a truth that hit me like a thousand trains,

who the wanted enemy really was,

I lifted my sword up high,

and plunged it into my own body,

as I lay down on the ground bleeding,

I smile and accepted my fate.
