An Argent Masterpiece
A Poem
The snow falls, the frost forms
And a chill fills the air
Noises fade, colors diminish
As the old year dies away
*
And all the while, a quiet magic stirs
As the seasons slowly change
Life’s colorful landscape becomes
A blank canvas again
*
Transforming into solid white
Then blending with swatches of gray
With hints of blue from time to time
And touches of argent shine
*
This palette of neutral shades and hues
Building depth and dimension, just as colors do
Vivid as any red or green
Any bygone spring has seen
*
With every stroke, with each new shade
An iridescent scene is skillfully laid
Contrasted with shadows and adorned with light
In a radiant and magical way
*
And as this brilliant setting forms
Our eyes are all aglow
As we sit and watch in quiet awe
Of our world’s newest work of art
*
