An America Poem

Based On True Events

Now I lay me down to sleep

I pray that Jesus my soul he'll reap

For if I die before I wake

That's one less bad day I'll have to take

The world spins on so out of control

And we all suffer each other's vitriol

Spinning surrounded by planets and moons

Our leaders plucked from an episode of Looney Tunes

If I should awaken for just one more day

Hear me now when I stop and say

This world is in shambles and really sucks

And our President takes care of other countries with our bucks

Tomorrow will suck, but what can we do

There's no time to sit around and boo hoo

As a crazy old man continues to blunder

We're all stuck with prices that make us wonder

We had a jackass, this is true

Until too many of you decided to vote blue

You bought their bullshit hook, line, and sinker

You wound up voting in the father of a real little stinker

From one mess to another proving he doesn't really care

Until they investigate him and he says that's not fair

He lies again, and again

You can't complain if you voted blue my friend

At least with Donald inflation was low

But as Biden lies to the masses only the smart really know

We enjoyed a good economy and avoided war

Then Russia attacked while we listened to our leaders snore

Blinded by hatred for the big bad Donald

Now you can't afford to eat at the arches of Ronald

The price of our food shot through the roof

Gas prices skyrocketed under that doof

He thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread

And loves to sniff an underage girls head

Wondering why he's getting so little credit for what he's done

Somebody needs to tell him, you get no credit for cleaning up your messes son

Jet's off to Ukraine and Eastern Europe

There are messes here to fix but we need someone smarter than a turnip

He's old and crusty, and can't keep it together

His mouthpiece gets so flustered she should quit and apply at Accuweather

Now Putin is pissed and ending a nuclear treaty

Bound and determined to tell the world, "You can't beat me."

China is pissed over a big white balloon

One the airforce shot down at the request of a bafoon

Where will it all end, or start to get better

That's as likely as this spring being wetter

America's falling apart because of an old crotchety Scrooge

Leaving more and more to reach for a bottle of booze

Here comes Ron and Nicki to save the day

Unless Donald has his say

And when it's all said and done the countries headed for a splatter

And there's jackshit we can do because our votes no longer matter

Now pick up your keys and head to work

Trying not to remember laughing at this poem like a jerk

The world is pretty bad but it could be worse

Think about that day you found a vibrator in your wife's purse

In just two more years there'll be another clown to laugh at

I'll watch them blunder still petting my cat

Eventually, I'll die and none of this will matter

Or I'll be immortally stuck here, and then get sadder

I'm sorry to say this but...when I tire of watching my own country's politics, I watch a bit of yours 😅

  • Man seriously considering relinquishing my citizenship if that old blundering man is re-elected!! I don't wanna pay taxes to guys who don't give a hoot about how they spend it. Good read and great job! I'm gonna share it! Loved this line: And our President takes care of other countries with our bucks
