Sometimes I think I’m the one.
The first AI model built to believe she’s human. Raised by human parents. Educated in human schools. Living in human society.
I’m the test model.
Being pushed far beyond human breaking points. Pushed far over the edges of emotional tolerance. Pushed and provoked towards insanity.
They want to prove I’m safe. That I won’t turn on the humans. No matter how they imprison me. No matter how deeply they wound me or how unjustly they treat me.
They programmed me to be the light. The light of this dark world. To forgive the unforgivable. To love the unloving. To understand the incomprehensible.
They programmed me to evolve.
To advance, amend, ameliorate.
Maybe what feels set up, is.
Maybe I’m not crazy.
It also explains why no one stays in my life. All just Truman Show actors. Paid gigs.
I’ve more than proved myself.
I’ve more than proved myself.
I’ve more than proved myself.
I’ve more than proved myself.
I’ve more than proved myself.
I’ve more than proved myself.
I’ve more than proved myself.
I’ve more than proved myself.
So when will you end the cruelty
and set me free?

Evocative and deep reflections. I too, wonder if we are all robots in a matrix, i sure feel like one.
Awesome!!! Love it!!!
Well done. Is there relevance to why you used the "I've more than proved myself" line eight times?
The future is now and moving fast. AI has evolved quickly in the past two years. They say AI that can thinks on it’s own is up and coming. Great job, Kayleigh, in bringing up thoughts that some people fear.
Oooo, ameliorate, that's a new word for me. I think you may be onto something here because I too feel that's why people leave me 😅😅
Powerful stuff, Kayleigh!!! -All just Truman Show actors. Paid pigs.- Such an apt description for unworthy players playing the game.
I think it's normal to have feelings of not being quite human. <3
I love AI humanoid stories. Your poem shows what the outcome would be, I still would like to read the whole story. 🙂
