They chortled and bantered,
sending memes and gifs all the while.
No guile in the world, just fun...
Simple laugher and goofiness.
Best friends, they were.
From Kindergarten, to the same college,
they were always there for one another.
They cried when things were sad.
They celebrated when successes were reached.
The support and care was as constant as a flowing stream.
Wiggling toes in the fresh water,
while dreaming and drinking ice cold beer.
In the mornings, they’d go running or canoeing,
talking about the lives that they were pursuing.

This feels like the kind of friendship everyone dreams of—effortless, full of laughter, and always there through every season of life.
:O I absolutely loved this uplifting and sweet excerpt, a little slice of life if you will, laughing and enjoying life's little pleasures and some of the many things that we do today in our modern world, to help ourselves and others be happy! ^^
What a delightful poem!!
This is so sweet and whimsical.
Aww. The friends we make in the early years, that stay, are the best. Well-expressed.
