Always Tea Time
A Wonderland Poem

What worlds have I yet to taste?
Brewed and steeped from foreign leaves
Invitations to parties
That I'm waiting to receive
Madness: thinking you and I
Are not quite as different
As distance might make it seem

I'm very late to the party, but I've had a couple of these rattling around in my head! Ellie Hoovs has released many wonderful Wonderland prompts and example poems as part of her May Challenge. Check out the details below:

I felt the anticipation as I was reading it. Like a bit of adventure and those foreign leaves oh - mystical and adventurous. - Nicely Done!!!
Nice love the tone of it.
AIW is such a timeless classic. Loved your little snippet into that fantastical reality.
This poem is filled with a sense of adventure and magic. I love it!
Delightful poem, despite the dastardly prompt! I loathe cups of tea😳🥺.
Oooo, brewed and steeped from foreign leaves. I especially loved that!
I think I read those two stories every week as a child. You captured the playfulness with underlying seriousness (and even a bit of menace) so well.
Well-wrought!
I love this! It provokes so many thoughts from my travels and yet-to-happen adventures.
Daahlink-D ~ If we all weren't a 'Bit-Different' it would be very boring...! j.in.l.a.

Ah, a nice bit of Shepard-branded whimsy. Just what I needed to read today, to brighten my mood a little. Thanks for that and what a lovely piece of poetry. Love the fact that it ties in so well with the quote too, not forced or anything :)
