travel [alone]

channel [alone]

"sixty-five mph" ⸘jason alan‽

i make plans.

not to break,

because i give weight

to the honor of my word.

and i,

looking forward to the nostalgic,

confirmed with confidence.

and yet,

so many have been left broken

by my hands.

my feet,

treading water with my head

just barely

above the surface.

and i think

that life has the same worth

to me and to a shark.

even for turtles and trees,

the seaweeds,

what it means to be alive

is to be

with a hunger for more.

the need to survive,

to procreate.

genesis prime

in the spark of a bang so big.

it was felt universally,

across all time,

and then echoed.

as it is,

the basis consists of that

[alone].

and i

watched the travel channel

that night with my curtains closed.

sometimes, it feels like a real vacation.

my private getaway.

but i never will go

[alone].

It is said that traveling alone is the ultimate loneliness, but I think that traveling alone is the ultimate romance
