In the fading light of the evening sky,

I sit and watch the stars up high,

Twinkling bright, so far away,

As thoughts of you fill my mind each day.

The passing hours turn into days,

And still I am lost in a lovesick haze,

Leaving our love in the hands of fate,

Wondering if it's too little, too late.

Sitting here alone, I wait,

Hoping that soon it won't be too late,

For fate to guide us back to each other,

And rekindle the flame we once discovered.

But until then, I'll sit here and ponder,

Gazing at the stars with wonder,

Thinking of you as the days pass by,

And praying that true love will never die.
