Alone

In Memory of Robin L. Thomas

By Sarah LovePublished 8 years ago 1 min read

Alone

In the darkness

Clenching to a picture

Held close to my heart.

Alone

In my room

Tears like rain

Flowing down my face.

Alone

Terrified

Trying not to forget

The memories of

Her loving words

Her tender touch

Her pretty face.

Alone

Remembering the times

We used to dance

We used to sing.

Remembering

Her sweet smell

And warm embrace.

Alone

In the darkness

Time begins to fade

Waiting for the sun

Alone

In my room

Tears like rain

Slowly drift away

Alone

Picking up

The broken pieces

Of my heart

Wiping up

The pool of tears

Left underneath my feet

Because I'm

Tired of the tears

Tired of the fears

Tired of being alone.
